New drama pact plots $25m series
Canadian feature film firm XII Tribes Entertainment has joined forced with an LA scripted prodco to jointly fund and develop TV series costing between US$3 million and US$25 million.
XII and Phantom Studios finalised their agreement during the initial shoot of a high-concept primetime drama series, SIGNS (WT). Belfort Media is to provide financial backing the shows.
The partners plan to create series in LA, Alberta in Canada and France, which will have a global audience.
“We have proven our great synergy between Phantom Studios infrastructure and production expertise with our own experience in production financial engineering and worldwide distribution so we can produce effectively great content with global appeal,” said XII Tribes COO, Ysé Brisson.
XII is best known for YouTube kids series Gummibar & Friends.
