News brief: Vodafone eyes November for UK pay TV
Vodafone is aiming to launch its British pay TV service in November, according to UK reports.
The telco is expected to launch a new settop and cloud-based TV service later this year, allowing it to offer a quad-play of fixed and mobile telephony, broadband and TV.
UK newspaper The Telegraph reports that Vodafone is setting up a new call centre in Glasgow and office in Hammersmith, from where its TV service will be run. It is recruiting ‘dozens’ of staff for the new service, including acquisitions execs and technical staff, the paper added.
