Viacom poaches BBCWW exec for Asian sales
Viacom International Media Networks has recruited June Yeoh from BBC Worldwide to run programme sales in Asia.
Yeoh will start in the new role in early April and work out of VIMN’s Singapore base.
As senior director of international programme sales she will oversee all of VIMN Asia’s content sales across China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia, selling content from MTV, Nick (Kung Fu Panda, pictured) and VIMN’s other channel brands.
She joins from BBC Worldwide’s Asian office where she was manager of TV content distribution and format sales. She has also worked at Bloomberg, CNBC and at Viacom, in an earlier stint at MTV Asia.
Yeoh will report to Caroline Beaton, VIMN’s senior VP for international programme sales, who said: “I’m pleased to have June Yeoh return to Viacom given her extensive experience working across different portfolios of the TV industry and her stellar track record of sales success.”
