Ex-FremantleMedia boss joins Singaporean prodco

Patrick Schult has joined Imagine Group Entertainment as director of business development.

Schult held various roles at FremantleMedia Asia, culminating in a three-year stint as CEO, which came to an end in 2011. He then set up Singapore-based, Japanese-backed, distributor Media Stable and worked as a consultant to media companies in the region.

He started in his new business development role at Imagine this week. The prodco makes unbscripted shows including The Contender Asia, The Biggest Loser Asia, The Challenger, The Apartment and Fit for Fashion.

Riaz Mehta, president and founder of Imagine said: “Our business in Asia is rapidly expanding and Patrick brings a breadth and depth of experience that will help us grow exponentially.”

Schult added: ”Riaz saw the opportunity to align brands to entertainment properties long before anyone else did and I look forward to working with his team to expand on his success stories”.
