Telenovela first in Thailand

Brazil’s Globo has sold its first-ever format into Thailand.

The Brazilian media giant has shopped Brazil Avenue, one of its biggest titles, to local cable channel Media Plex.

The female-skewed channel will show the series in a regular 5.30pm slot.

It is the latest deal for the novella, which goes out on Telemundo in the US and Azteca in Mexico. In Brazil, it averaged a 69% share on Globo and in 2013 the show was nominated for an international Emmy.
