Networks Escape to the Wild with McCloud
Six overseas channels have acquired Channel 4 factual series Kevin McCloud: Escape to the Wild.
Distributor Optomen International has sold the 4x60mins show to Foxtel and ABC in Australia, SBS Discovery Networks Norway, TV2 in Denmark, Ananey in Israel and Spektrum in Central Europe.
The show follows Grand Designs presenter McCloud as he looks at stories of people who have left their busy city lives behind and moved to remote parts of the world. All3Media-owned Optomen Television produced the show for Channel 4 in the UK.
“We are very excited to have Kevin McCloud on our channel in a new uniform,” said Benedicte Steinsrud, head of acquisitions for SBS Discovery Networks Norway. “After many years of Grand Designs, we are excited to see how our audience reacts to these unique homes all over the world.”
“Going to the ends of the world, the new Kevin McCloud series looks amazing,” added Troels Branth Pedersen, acquisitions executive at TV2. “We are pleased to have picked it up for our lifestyle channel TV 2 FRI.”
