Japanese drama gets global homes
An upcoming live-action version of Nippon TV anime drama Death Note is to air in 120 territories, with each episodes closely following its Japanese premiere.
In the US, Europe, the Middle East and Africa animated programming streaming site Crunchyroll will run the show, while Italy’s Mperience will also have it a few days after its airing on Nippon.
Meanwhile, South Korean cable net Channel J will air episodes about a week after their Japanese debut.
Death Note follows the cat-and-mouse game of a mysterious detective and a man who kills off bad people using a magic death notebook.
The show debuts on Nippon in Japan on July 5.
