Kabel Eins sets House Rules

German channel Kabel Eins has commissioned a local version of Red Arrow International’s home-makeover format House Rules.

The format debuted in Australia on Seven Network, but will gets its latest outing as Haustausch – Wer Renoviert Sich Zum Sieg?.

The 5x120mins series will go out on the channel in early 2016.

House Rules, in which couples bid to become top amateur home renovators, was recently sold to SBS’s Net5 ahead of an eleven-episode season this autumn.

“We are always looking for big, original shows and House Rules takes the home renovation genre to a whole new level,” said Kabel Eins managing director Katja Hofem. “The show is a perfect fit for Kabel Eins and we have exciting plans for this reality competition.”
