Hulu buys trio of 9 Story toons

US streaming and catch-up service Hulu has bought three animated series from Canadian producer and distributor 9 Story Media Group.

It has picked up 52x11mins Get Ace, 40x11ins Nerds and Monsters (pictured), and 13x7mins Joe and Jack.

The shows will be available within the commercial-free Hulu Kids space.

It is the latest deal between Hulu and 9 Story after the VOD service previously bought children’s series Almost Naked and adult-skewing animated series Fugget About It.

Natalie Osborne, managing director for 9 Story Media said: “Hulu has proven to be a tremendously popular home for animated content and we are excited to introduce these programs to a U.S. audience through the Hulu Kids platform.”
