Zodiak scores Sky SVOD deal, renewal
Sky’s subscription on-demand services have acquired episodes of CBeebies shows Waybuloo and Mister Maker, while Sky One has renewed wacky game show Wild Things.
The SVOD deal with Zodiak Kids hands Sky more than 150 episodes of the CBeebies series, which will be made available in the UK and Ireland via Sky On Demand and mobile TV platform Sky Go.
21st Century Fox-backed paycaster Sky recently announced its would significantly increase the number of episodes of children’s programming in its on-demand library, and this deal plays into that strategy.
Another deal between Sky and Zodiak Kids parent Zodiak Media sees the former’s flagship linear channel, Sky One, renewing physical game show-comedy hybrid Wild Things.
The series has been a ratings hit for Sky One, and will now get a new 10x60mins run.
Zodiak-owned IWC Media, Mad Monk and advertising content firm GroupM Entertainment will again coproduce the show.
