Hasbro titles go digital with MoMedia
Transformers: Rescue Bots and G.I Joe: Renegades will go out through digital and VOD distributor MoMedia after it secured a deal with Hasbro Studios.
MoMedia is to repackage and distribute Hasbro Studios television titles for TVOD platforms worldwide, excluding the US, Australia and New Zealand.
Transformers: Rescue Bots (pictured) and G.I. Joe: Renegades are the two Hasbro titles included, though others such as My Little Pony, Littlest Pet Shop and Family Game Night
may be added at a latter date, it is understood.
MoMedia, in which Endemol Shine Group has a 25% stake, recently announced a similar deal with DreamWorks Classics to digitally distribute shows from its television catalogue.
The company aggregates documentaries, kids TV programming and Hollywood-produced fare across global and local VOD platforms such as iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video, Samsung and Hulu. It also provides clients with real time analytics and monitors sales performance using a proprietary tool.
“Momedia’s goal is to disrupt the current industry model and create a new standard in digital distribution and marketing,” said Lucas Bertrand, the firm’s CEO.
“We’re delighted to announce this major deal with Hasbro Studios to monetise their highly successful franchises including Transformers: Rescue Bots and G.I. Joe: Renegades across transactional VOD platforms around the world.”
