Catalyst hires Chris Moll
TV and film financing group Catalyst Global Media has hired Chris Moll to bring in, develop and produce new projects.
London-based Catalyst’s upcoming TV projects include Peter Pan adaptation Peter and Wendy for ITV, which will be sold internationally by ProSiebenSat.1 Group-owned Red Arrow.
Catalyst was created earlier this year by Charlotte Walls, Al Hardiman and Gideon Lyons. At the firm, Moll will be tasked with sourcing new projects for TV, film and digita platformsl.
He will report to Catalyst co-founder and CEO Charlotte Walls, who said: “We look forward to his input and contributions as the company commits itself to being a major supplier of new, smart, provocative, quality entertainment.”
Coming from the film world, Moll has been an indie producer as well as head of film at Creative England, which he exited from earlier this year. He also produced Aardman’s animated feature The Wrong Trousers.
“It’s an exciting time at Catalyst and I am thrilled to be working with Charlotte, Al, Gideon and the Catalyst team in building a slate focused on both creative and commercial success,” said Moll. “I’ve been lucky in my career to work with many exceptional talents – established and upcoming – and it was the company’s commitment to providing the best possible home for such talent that convinced me to come on board.”
