Hulu, Lionsgate chiefs kick off Cannes confab
Bosses from on-demand service Hulu and US studio Lionsgate Entertainment will kick off MIPCOM this year in Cannes.
Lionsgate’s president of worldwide television and digital distribution Jim Packer (right) will sit down with Hulu’s CEO, Mike Hopkins (left) on Monday, October 5, the first day of the market.
Packer and Hopkins will discuss Hulu’s recent growth in the US on-demand space and the changing nature of content and content distribution.
The previous evening (October 4), industry executives will join TBI and our sister publication, DVTE, as we reveal the winners of the first Content Innovation Awards at a ceremony at the Carlton Beach Bar on the Croisette.
MIPCOM organiser has already announced keynote speakers such as ITV CEO Adam Crozier, producer Mark Gordon, Endemol Shine Group chief executive Sophie Turner Laing, and Fox Television Group co-chiefs Dana Walden and Gary Newman.
