ID profiles Las Vegas D.A.
US cable channel Investigation Discovery has green-lit an unscripted series that goes behind the scenes of the Clark Country District Attorney’s office in Las Vegas.
Las Vegas D.A. is being billed as “a real-life Law & Order experience”, which follows District Attorney Steve Wolfson and his team as they assess crime scenes and chase convictions in the courtroom.
Indie MY Entertainment will soon begin shooting the show in cinéma vérité style ahead of a 2016 airdate on ID, which has carved out a niche as a key destination for older female viewers.
“Adding a new powerful form of storytelling to ID, Las Vegas D.A. is an opportunity for us to showcase the synergy between law enforcement and the D.A.’s office in a rich and dramatic way,” said Kevin Bennett, general manager, Investigation Discovery (pictured).
“TV viewers have seen the fictionalised version of crime procedurals in Las Vegas, but for the first time ever, cameras will roll on these real stories of the justice system.”
