Maker Studios content boss leaves
Maker Studios’ chief content officer Erin McPherson has left the US-based multichannel network.
A spokesperson told Video Ink, which broke the story, that executive VPs Bonnie Pan and Gabriel Lewis would absorb her workloads as co-heads of programming.
The departure is the first major development since The Walt Disney Company bought Maker in 2014, a move that comes as part of spate of M&A deals in which traditional media groups have acquired YouTube channel-focused MCNs.
Maker also told Ad Week that McPherson had left by “mutual agreement”.
She had been with Maker since 2013, having joined from Yahoo, where she was among other titles head of video programming and originals.
