France Télévisions takes No Offence
Public broadcaster France Télévisions has acquired Britihs cop comedy-drama No Offence from FremantleMedia International.
The Paul Abbott-penned series will premiere in France on France 2, a deal that follows sales into Australia, to the ABC, Netherlands (NOP), Israel (Hot), Denmark (DR) and Iceland (RUV).
The show follows three female police officers at a tight-knit unit in north west England, who are forced to deal with a twisted serial killer while negotiating the daily grind of life on the force.
The UK’s Channel 4 has already commissioned a second season to the show, which last month won the Best Foreign Fiction award at the Festival de la Fiction in La Rochelle.
AbbottVision produces it, with FremantleMedia’s international sales arm attached as distributor.
