Ex-CBS exec lands Netflix comedy role
Former CBS syndication executive Terry Wood is working with Netflix, overseeing the streaming service’s upcoming Chelsea Handler talk show.
Wood left her post as president, creative affairs and development the Eye Network’s domestic distribution arm in 2010, and went on to join Mark Burnett’s One Three Media, where she became president, unscripted and original syndication.
A Netflix rep told TBI she was now working with former E! Entertainment chat show host Handler on her new format, which is expected to launch on the streamer next year.
The show is being billed as “the first-ever talk show for the global on-demand generation”.
It was not immediately clear if Wood remained with One Three, which is now part of United Artists Media Group, which MGM Studios owns and producer Burnett runs as CEO.
