Sundance Channel launches in France
AMC Networks International has launched Sundance Channel Global on Orange TV through its ADSL fibre and satellite platforms in France.
The channel went live last week as part of Orange’s Cinema and Series TV, broadcasting independent feature films and documentaries andoriginal drama series.
“This exciting launch will significantly extend the reach of Sundance Channel in France,” said president of AMC and Sundance Channel Global Bruce Tuchman (pictured).
“AMC Networks International has experienced record-breaking growth with new distribution agreements on television platforms around the world and we’re looking forward to working closely with Orange to deliver original dramatic series as well as the best in independent cinema.”
The move comes after AMCNI launched its AMC channel for the first time in the UK on August 28 via BT.
Earlier this year, Slovak Telekom in Slovakia launched Sundance Channel for the first time as part of a wider expansion of AMCNI’s portfolio of linear TV channels in Europe.
