Endemol Shine makes Latino hire

Endemol Shine’s US arm has hired Latino programming veteran Flavio Morales.

Morales (pictured) becomes executive VP at Endemol Shine Latino and will develop unscripted, scripted and digital content aimed at the US Hispanic/English-speaking marketplace.

He will work under Laurens Drillich, the current CEO of Endemol Shine Netherlands, who will become president of Endemol Shine Latino in early 2016.

Morales joins from prodco Big Vida Entertainment, where he worked alongside Eva Longorio on the NCLR ALMA Awards.

Prior to that he was at NBCU-owned Spanish-language broadcaster Telemundo, spending almost a decade at its cable net mun2 (since rebranded NBCUniverso).

“Flavio brings a wealth of experience as both a producer and as a programming executive to our team,” says Endemol Shine North America co-CEOs Cris Abrego and Charlie Corwin. “He’s already off and running, developing original content aimed at the English-speaking US Hispanic marketplace – an area we believe has been left largely untapped.”
