CBeebies hands 7Wonder debut kids commission

UK-Australian prodco 7 Wonder has landed its first children’s television commission, a 25-part series for British preschool channel CBeebies.

Do You Know? will see technology vlogger Maddie Moate exploring and explaining how everyday things such as pasta shapes and dishwashers work and are made.

7 Wonder, a joint venture between Australia’s Network Seven and a team of and former Maverick TV executives, has to this point focused on factual and factual entertainment commissions, but now moves into kids programming.

The company’s Sarah Trigg will executive produce, along with the CBeebies’ Julia Bond. Romily Menzies is series producer.

“Do You Know explores the workings of everyday objects all around us,” said Bond. “By looking at how things work and how things are made, our audience will get an understanding of the world around them from a new perspective.”
