Fullscreen hires former Hulu CEO
Former Hulu interim CEO Andy Forssell is joining MCN Fullscreen as COO.
After leaving Hulu in 2013, where he was interim CEO after a long spell as senior VP of content and distribution, he had been chief executive of digital content creation firm ShowYou.
He will now join Fullscreen to oversee day-to-day operations, reporting to company founder and CEO George Strompolos.
Peter Chernin-AT&T joint venture Otter Media acquired Fullscreen for around US$300 million last year, making it one of a significant number of multichannel network groups acquired by traditional media companies in recent times.
Forssell, who led Hulu after company founder Jason Kilar’s departure, will join Fullscreen’s board.
