Mansfield’s Plimsoll gets into distribution
Grant Mansfield’s indie Plimsoll Productions has launched a distribution division.
Former Zodiak USA boss Mansfield launched Plimsoll in late 2013, and it has gone on to win commissions from ITV, including reality series Big Family Mansion and ob-doc Prom Crazy: Frocks and Ferraris.
It has also set up a US office that has won an order from Nat Geo for wildlife series Deadly Instincts.
The indie has now moved into programme sales, with a dedicated distribution website. The roster of factual programmes for distribution includes The Holiday Airport, Life at the Extreme and How I Made a Million – Houses.
According to the site, Sally Kenchington, who previously was a commissioner and buyer at UK broadcaster Channel 5, will lead the sales team.
Plimsoll will sell its own shows across the factual, entertainment, wildlife and formats categories. The Plimsoll sales site also has a dedicated screening room.
