McVay, Nohr join TRX advisory board
Soon-to-launch rights trading platform TRX has appointed a quartet of industry figures to a new advisory board.
John McVay, boss of UK indies industry group Pact, will be on the board, as will Nadine Nohr (left), the former boss of both Shine and ITV’s distribution businesses.
Juliette Squair, chief strategy office at music rights specialist Audio Network, and Jonathan Norman, partner at private equity outfit Stella Capital, will also be present.
McVay (right) said: “I’m excited to be supporting the TRX initiative which is a non-aligned independent enterprise bringing much-need efficiency and transparency to the rights exploitation space.
“It promises to unlock value for all rights holders and extend the reach of distributors to markets and platforms hitherto inaccessible or commercially unviable.”
TRX was set up by former Zodiak and RDF bosses David and Matthew Frank. The firm has created the board to give it strategic guidance as it rolls out.
With new funding in hand, it has been staffing up ahead of launch and the online rights trading platform is currently in beta test mode with several industry partners.
David Frank said: “I’m delighted we’ve managed to bring together this talented group of industry leaders whose combined experience will be invaluable as we roll out the TRX marketplace in 2016. With their help and assistance we are bringing to market a tool which will transform the way TV rights are bought and sold.”
