Evans replaces Pollard at Sony’s Gogglebox

Sony-backed Gogglebox Entertainment has hired Paul Evans as its new head of development.

The new recruit replaces the outgoing Sam Pollard at the Release the Hounds prodco.

Gogglebox said Pollard is leaving to pursue other projects, and TBI understands he plans to set up his own indie content company.

Evans joins from All3Media-owned producer Lime Pictures. He has also worked at All3-backed Studio Lambert, as well as ITV Studios.

His credits include Channel 4 series Time Crashers, ITV’s Travel Guides and MTV’s Sleeping with the Family.

Mat Steiner, joint managing director of Gogglebox, said: “Paul is a fresh thinker – we are delighted to welcome him as we embark on creating our next wave of original and bold entertainment and factual entertainment formats.”

Gogglebox’s recent commissions include physical gameshow Man vs Fly.
