Turner ups Asian content chief
Turner International Asia Pacific has upped children’s content chief Mark Eyers (pictured) to senior VP.
Eyers’ promotion comes as reward for its role overseeing all of Turner’s kids content and channel brands across Asia Pacific. He was previously VP of kids content and chief content officer.
Based on Hong Kong, Eyers will now look to build out Cartoon Network, which is the region’s largest children’s pay TV channel, Boomerang, Toonami and POGO. He will also spearhead new channel development.
“Under Mark’s leadership, Turner’s Kids brands has not only dominated the genre but also expanded tremendously across the region,” said Turner International Asia Pacific president Ricky Ow.
“He has spearheaded the growth of our Kids brands across multi-platform while also leading numerous international original animation productions, including the award-winning Monster Beach and recent series Exchange Student Zero.”
Eyers joined Turner in 2004.
