Vidgo, a new US-based TV streaming service, is now in beta testing after launching at CES this week.
The over-the-top service, which was co-founded by former DirecTV executive Robert Kostensky, will offer linear TV and video-on-demand – including premium, sports, local and international content.
Vidgo will be available on connected devices includingsmartphones, tablets and smart TVs and is due to roll out in 15 markets in the US in the first half of 2016, with coverage throughout the US to follow by the fourth quarter.
“Vidgo combines the best of existing online streaming services with live television and VoD,” said company president Kostensky.
“Vidgo is the lowest cost solution to deliver the most expansive catalogue of live linear television and VOD to all devices and connected televisions.”
