108 Media gets Leeder for Asia push
108 Media has teamed up with Mike Leeder and the pair will work up new content for the Asian market.
Leeder will be based in the 108 Media Hong Kong office and work with the existing development team to add to its Asian content line-up.
Leeder has numerous Asian action feature film credits including The Raid 2, Rush Hour 3 and Fearless. With 108 he will work across TV, film and digital.
Two TV projects – A Martial Arts Journey and Tracking the Dragon – are already underway.
Abhi Rastogi, Founder and CEO of 108 Media, said: “Mike is well respected and valued for his experience within the Asian entertainment sector, so he is the perfect driving force to head up our Asian presence, expand our catalogue and develop 108 Media content.”
Leeder added: “I am very excited excited about working with Abhi and the rest of the team at 108 Media, in not only bringing a lot of previously unseen Asian and international content to a wider audience, but also developing some very exciting film and TV projects with 108 Media that will appeal to genre fans around the world.”
108 is in expansion mode, with the Leeder partnership coming soon after it hired Nancy Silverstone, the former Starz programmer.
