Cineflix pacts with Freeform show creator

Canada-headquartered Cineflix Media has inked a multiyear first-look deal showrunner George Moll, who is known for Freeform (fka ABC Family) unscripted series Becoming US.

The deal covers development, production and distribution, with Moll working closely with Cineflix’s development team in LA, which Dave Hamilton oversees.

Under terms of the pact, Cineflix will get first option to produce Moll’s new scripted and unscripted programming, and Cineflix Rights having an exclusive first-look at subsequent distribution.

Moll is best-known for Freeform’s transgender-themed series Becoming US. He has also produced ABC’s To Tell the Truth, Discovery Channel’s Final Offer and MTV’s Rock the Cradle.
