Ronaldo to score for Globo at MIPTV
Globo is bring Brazilian superstar footballer Ronaldo to MIPTV.
The Brazilian media giant is bringing the star, whose full name is Ronaldo Nazário, to Cannes to talk about its coverage of the upcoming Summer Olympics and Paralympics, which are being held in Rio.
Ronaldo, widely considered one of the best strikers ever and three-time FIFA World Player of the Year, is a sports presenter for Globo, the largest broadcaster in Brazil.
Globo is the official media sponsor of Rio 2016 and will talk to international partners at MIPTV about how it plans to cover the Games across traditional and linear platforms.
Ronaldo will speak on a panel about the power of sport and fans, alongside João Pedro Paes Leme, Globo’s sports chief. Raymundo Barros, Globo’s director of Technology, will also speak.
The broadcaster has assembled a ‘Golden Team’ of commentators for the event.
