Keenan exits Streamup for ‘spiritual sabbatical’
Will Keenan is leaving start-up live streaming platform Streamup to take a “spiritual” sabbatical.
The former Endemol Beyond USA president has only been with the company since September 2015, but will now take at least six months out to focus on spiritual exercises, according to his Twitter feed.
Streamup is billed as a live streaming and real-time broadcasting community, which has grown to around 23 million subscribers, according to Keenan.
Keenan had left Endemol Beyond USA, which recently rebranded as Endemol Shine Beyond USA, in August last year before joining Streamup.
He was replaced by Adrian Sexton in the interim, before ex-Maker Studios exec Bonnie Pan was installed as permanent boss this year.
Keenan is also a former Maker programming executive.
Streamup has not yet announced a replacement.
GOIN' SABBATICALIN'! After 24 years, I decided to finally take 6 months (or more) to meditate (& pray for us all 🙂 https://t.co/5ckeooiJmS
