Dating priests, ABBA on SVT Sales slate
Sweden’s SVT Sales is taking an eclectic slate featuring priests looking for love, Europop super-group ABBA and tractor-pulling Swedish hillbillies.
Pray for Love will be a key finished title for the distribution arm of SVT. The show follows four single Swedish priests looking for dates, and Zodiak Rights is selling the format.
ABBA in Concert is a digitally-restored HD recording of a 1979 live performance by the titular music group, while Pulling Together is about a close-knit circle of rural Swedish friends. Who share a passion for pulling motors and tractors.
The latter is one of a trio of new docs on offer, with the shows being Just a Normal Person, about a young man who was born a woman; and A Year with Måns Zelmerlöw, which is a portrait of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 winner.
SVT Sales will also be selling the finished tape for If Walls Could Talk, in which owners of old homes, guided by an historian and an architectural curator, find out about their abodes. Modern Times Group-owned DRG has format sales rights.
