Comedy Central hires UK development head
Comedy Central UK has hired Matt Tiller as its head of development.
He will report into Louise Holmes, VP and director of programming, Comedy Central and MTV UK, having joined the channel this week.
Tiller will source and develop non-scripted original commissions in the UK, and support VP and head of global production and development Lourdes Diaz, to find scripted programmes to commission for Viacom International Media Networks’ Comedy Central channels around the world.
Holmes said Tiller’s experience would be “invaluable” as Comedy Central ramps up its UK commissioning strategy.
Tiller has previously produced comedy for several UK broadcasters, including BBC One and Channel 4, as head of Channel X North, which is behind Detectorists.
