Giggle and Hoot spin-off for ABC Kids

The ABC in Australia is soon to debut an animated series spun out of its preschool toon Giggle and Hoot.

Hoot Hoot Go! will be a 26x5mins series for 3-6s for the ABC Kids channel, and will follow “themes of friendship and teamwork through imaginative play and action”.

The live action-CGI puppetry hybrid follows the same Giggle and Hoot characters – Hoot, Hootabelle, Pirate Hootbeard, Giggle Fangs, Hootaluna and Giggle Bot – and a new character, Hootly.

Produced in-house, ABC Commercial has been preselling the series since MIPJunior last October. It debuts in Australia on May 16.
