Ex-Zodiak, MEG exec joins Zee TV
Former Zodiak and MEG exec Sarah Coursey has joined the sales arm of Indian broadcast group Zee TV.
Coursey (pictured) will regional head of syndication for North America, Latin America and Canada at Zee Entertainment Enterprises, focusing on format sales and acquisitions.
Zee has been increasingly focused on international expansion over the past 12 months, and last month launched a free-to-air channel in Germany, Zee One.
Coursey was most recently at tech firm Newzulu, but has previously headed the format sales and acquisitions divisions at distributor Zodiak (when it traded as Zodiak Entertainment); funny clips firm MEG, whose catalogue is now with Novovision; and Distraction Formats. She has worked in the US, Italy, Germany, the UK and Brazil.
Zee Entertainment Enterprises’ global syndication head Sunita Uchil said Coursey brought with her “a wealth of experience and a stellar reputation”, adding: “As Zee TV expands around the world, we are confident that Sarah will help tremendously to increase our footprint into the region.”
Coursey also created Love at First Bite, a format that was on Discovery Networks Italy-owned Real Time Channel as Ti Prendo per la Gola in 2013.
