DRG grows Kirkpatrick post after American growth
UK-based DRG has expanded Scott Kirkpatrick’s role to include oversight of Latin America after growth in North America.
Kirkpatrick joined MTG-owned DRG last year as senior VP, North America, and now adds South America to that post.
“Over the past year Scott has proven his ability by being an influential factor in DRG’s substantial growth in our North American footprint, and the time is right now to expand into Latin America under his guidance,” said DRG managing director Richard Halliwell.
Kirkpatrick will now lead DRG’s established South American sales business, while also overseeing format sales in Canada and Latin America.
He will continue to work alongside LA-based consultant Cristin Leyser, who oversees scripted formats in the US.
DRG’s newest shows include Robert Redford’s The West, Kevin Spacey-narrated documentary Race For The White House and NRK drama Nobel.
Recent American deals include Finnish scripted black comedy Black Widows selling to Brazilian channel Globosat, Baby Animals in the Wild to National Geographic and season nine of Peep Show.
“Scott’s proven experience in devising and implementing international distribution strategies makes him the ideal leader to further expand DRG’s global presence in a rapidly growing market,” said Halliwell.
