ITV is Cash Trapped with new quiz

ITV is prepping Cash Trapped, a new quiz show from Posessed that will be fronted by Bradley Walsh, the presenter of another ITV gameshow, The Chase.

Walsh was behind the idea for the show.

Posessed, meanwhile, is run by Glenn Hugill who counts the UK versions of The Mole, Beauty and the Geek and Cash Cab among his credits. He is also well-known for creating and playing ‘the banker’ on Deal or No Deal.

In the new show, which is expected to have a late afternoon slot on ITV this summer, six contestants compete over several general knowledge quiz rounds for a ‘life changing’ cash prize, with no participant leaving until a winner is crowned.

ITV has already piloted the show and has now taken it to series, ordering a 10-episode run. ITV’s distribution division will launch the format internationally.
