FRAPA membership grows 35% in a year
Formats industry body FRAPA has grown its membership 35% in the past year.
This spike comprises 50 new members in the last 12 months, and comes after The Gurin Company’s Phil Gurin and Missing Link Media founder Jan Salling (pictured) became co-chairmen in March 2015.
Among the new members are Korea Creative Content Agency, South Korean commercial broadcaster Seoul Broadcasting System and entertainment conglom CJ E&M.
“We’re pleased and gratified by this impressive jump in members, which is confirmation that the vision of FRAPA that we on the board are working hard to realise is resonating with the formats industry,” said Salling, the former Nordic World and Banijay International sales chief.
“In view of recent political and economic events, the need has never been greater for the global formats industry to stand shoulder to shoulder.”
FRAPA was created to protect the rights of formats creators, and to provide mediation and support in rights disputes and copyright cases.
