ZDFE launches digital prodco
ZDF Enterprises has created a digital subsidiary aimed at producing for online platforms.
Streamwerke will sit within German pubcaster ZDF’s commercial division, with Jannik Hülshoff and Dennis Papirowski named co-CEOs of the Berlin-based prodco.
It was born out of the existing F12 Media, which is a subsidiary of ZDF Digital Medienproduktion.
Hülshoff (left) was most recently based in San Francisco, where he helped broker agreements and aid strategies between brands and Google-owned YouTube, while Papirowski (right) did a similar job out of London, advising German-language companies on their content strategies on YouTube.
Streamwerke will operate its own studio from Berlin, while developing and producing and distributing online-first content for social media platforms. It will also seek original commissions from digital platforms, and act as advisor on sustainable online strategies for third-parties.
“We are convinced that with Streamwerke we have created the best structural conditions for exploiting the opportunities in the area of digital online content,” said Alexander Coridass, president and CEO at ZDF Enterprises.
