Corden’s Late Late Show notches another sale
French net MCM has become the latest buyer of The Late Late Show with James Corden.
The late night talk show is proving popular internationally with the French deal coming on the heels of sales to Sky in the UK and RTL in Germany among others.
The show goes out on CBS in the US and CBS Studios International handles distribution and struck the French deal.
On digital net MCM the show will be stripped in a late night slot, with episodes running a day after they bow in the US.
In the US Corden’s stewardship of the talkshow has been well received and popular segments of his show include Carpool Karaoke, which CBSSI is now shopping as a full format.
The talk show will launch in France in September. MCM is a digital terrestrial channel owned by French media heavyweight Lagardere.
The news comes after CBS split up its sales operation, with Fox veteran Paul Franklin taking over domestic duties from Armando Nuñez, who now solely oversees international distribution.
