Simon Andreae prodco hires exec from ITV
Naked Entertainment, Simon Andreae’s prodco, has hired Matthew Cox from ITV.
He joins the UK-based producer as executive producer. At British broadcaster ITV he produced shows including Text Santa and his other credits include Alive: Back to the Andes for Channel 5 and When Women Ruled the World for Channel 4.
Naked is the UK prodco created by Simon Andreae, the former Fox and Discovery exec, with backing from FremantleMedia.
Cox is the prodco’s second recent hire, after it brought in Tom O’Brien to run development.
Naked is currently in production on a four-part family survival show for Channel 5 called Stripped and Stranded and a digital series, Britain’s Best Boy Racers, for All4.
Andreae said: “Matt has an incredibly wide range of programming under his belt and brings a wit and warmth to all that he touches. We’re delighted he’s joining us to help shape and supervise our growing slate”.
Cox added: “In under a year, Naked Entertainment is fast becoming one of the UK’s most exciting indies evolving the non-scripted space. I am thrilled to be joining Simon and his team, and to play a part in helping the company continue to develop audacious and high impact programming in both the UK and US.”
