Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart host Dinner Party
Rapper Snoop Dogg and homemaking expert Martha Stewart are joining forces for Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party, a new reality show for the VH1 US cable net.
The format has Snoop and Stewart teaming to throw a dinner party to which they invite their celebrity friends.
It is being produced by Jersey Shore prodco 495 Productions, which is backed by FremantleMedia, cannabis culture business Merry Jane, and Sequential Brands Group, which oversees the Martha Stewart brand and created the show.
Viacom’s VH1 will launch the show as part of its fall schedule.
Snoop and Stewart have appeared together before on ABC quiz show 100,000 Pyramid, Stewart’s talkshow, and the Justin Bieber Comedy Central Roast.
“Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way,” said Stewart.
“My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back. We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends,” Snoop Dog said. “Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
“We’re thrilled to partner with Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg, two of pop culture’s biggest icons,” added VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy.
