3Vision to acquire for African pay TV service
London-based international content consultancy 3Vision will oversee acquisitions and channel management for a Nigeria-based premium pay TV service.
Suburban Fiber Company has contracted 3Vision to lead to movie deal negotiations with US studios and arrange carriage deaks with major entertainment brands.
Suburban Fiber Company’s premium HD pay TV brand is called Legend TV, while a mobile option is titled Legend Lite. The Legend service comprises “premium HD TV content”, internet access, and HD voice and home automation and security.
The Legend brand launched in 2014 to offer African integrated subscribers premium television, mobile and internet services. Legend TV is its latest incarnation.
“We are very pleased to have been able to draw on the expertise 3Vision have in content acquisition for Africa,” said Bruce Ayonote, CEO of Suburban Fiber Company. “First class entertainment, drama and factual brands are key elements of our strategy for Legend and it was essential we had this content in place for our customers. We look forward to announcing further channels expansion in due course.”
3Vision has been working with international television businesses including Fox Networks Group, Eir, Telenet, Discovery Networks International and AMC Networks International for a decade.
