Sky Germany makes pop-up Harry Potter channel

Sky in Germany is due to launch a pop-up Harry Potter channel that will show all eight Warner Bros. Entertainment films starring the boy wizard.

Sky Cinema HD Harry Potter will run from November 4 to 20, with the channel to coincide with the November 17 cinema release of Harry Potter spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The channel and movies will be available to Sky Germany subscribers, as well as on Sky On Demand, Sky Go and via Sky Ticket. The latter launched in July and offers day, week and month passes that can be used to access Sky film, sports and entertainment programming without an ongoing subscription.

The Harry Potter channel will follow Sky Germany’s launch of a pop-up Star Wars channel next month. The operator’s previous pop-ups have included Sky Disney Princesses HD, Sky Thrones HD and James Bond channel, Sky 007 HD.
