Peter Chernin sets up Campo to replace Di Loreto
Peter Chernin’s media business has recruited Kristen Campo to run its TV business. She will be executive VP, television, at Chernin Entertainment, replacing Dante Di Loreto, the Glee producer who joined the company last year.
Di Loreto will have a production deal with Chernin, which is behind series such as Fox’s New Girl and has a first-look deal with Universal Television.
He had joined Chernin in September last year, but exits just over a year later.
Campo joins from Fabrik, the US drama prodco that is backed by Red Arrow, part of German broadcast giant ProSiebenSat.1 group. She will oversee development and production, reporting to Jenno Topping, president of film and television.
“Kristen is an exceptional and discerning executive who has a sharp eye for creating engaging content that breaks through the clutter,” said Topping. “We have long admired the projects that she’s brought to life, and we are thrilled to have her on our team,”
“Chernin Entertainment is such a dynamic and forward-thinking company, which is clearly reflected in its diverse programming in both the feature and television spaces,” said Campo. “I’m excited to work alongside Peter, Jenno, and the rest of the remarkable team to further grow the business and build upon its current success.”
Her credits include FX series The Comedians and Fox’s The Good Guys.
