Sinking Ship debuts Dino Dana
Sinking Ship Entertainment’s first MIPCOM since acquiring Picture Box Distribution will see the Canadian kids TV firm launch animated series Dino Dana.
Annedroids prodco Sinking Ship moved into in-house distribution with the Picture Box acquisition before MIPTV and sales chiefs Kate Sanagan and Marilyn Kynaston are now offering buyers TVO and Amazon original Dino Dana, the latest programme in the Dino Dan franchise.
The spin-off series features a pair of young sisters who can see dinosaurs and meet them in each episode. It delivers shortly.
Another new series is Family Jr. preschool property Playdate and another season of Bookaboo, while there will also be focus on additional broadcasters and licensing partners for the Odd Squad.
“It’s been exciting to be a part of this team that creates meaningful programming for kids around the world,” says Sanagan, Sinking Ship’s co-head of sales with Kynaston.
“Launching the first movie and live tour across North America was an important first step in our brand expansion, and we’re confident that the Sinking Ship presence will only continue to grow around the world with our other award-winning programmes.”
