Discovery itching for Blue Ant factual
Discovery Networks has acquired 55 hours of lifestyle and factual programming from Canadian distributor Blue Ant International.
The programmes are for Discovery operations in the US, and Latin America and Hispanic US.
Discovery Family in the US and Discovery Networks Latin America / US Hispanic (DLA/USH) have acquired the 13x30mins Post My Party (pictured), a home and design series featuring professional event planner Lynzie Kent.
DLA/USH has also bought the 20x60mins Paranormal Survivor, a factual entertainment series about encounters with the supernatural; the 6x30mins seasonal series Holiday Makeover; and season two of Live Here, Buy This, which is a 26x30mins series about enviable properties around the world. It will be for the Discovery Familia channel in Hispanic US.
Blue Ant International senior VP Solange Attwood said the company would be offering more than 600 hours of new content to buyers attending the upcoming MIPCancun.
