Endemol Shine Nordics chiefs exit
Endemol Shine Group’s Nordic arm is saying goodbye to its long-serving COO and chief commercial officer.
Endemol Shine Nordics COO Bertil Rosenlund (pictured) and CCO Victoria Kjellberg are exiting, and will leave the business next year. A recruitment process is underway and an announcement of replacements is forthcoming.
Rosenlund has been with Endemol Shine for eleven years, holding roles such as general manager, CFO and COO, while Kjellberg joined in 2009 as head of legal before rising to her current role.
Both were promoted after the unexpected exit of Endemol Shine’s international CEO, Gary Carter, in 2015. They took on some of his duties, with others shared elsewhere.
Endemol Shine Nordics comprises Swedish firms Meter Television, Stockholm-Köpenhamn Produktion and Filmlance International; Metronome Productions in Denmark; Rubicon TV in Norway; and Endemol Shine Finland.
“After over a decade in different roles it has been a very difficult decision to leave such a great group of companies and so many talented friends,” said Rosenlund. “But the time is right and it is my intention to take a bit of a break before deciding what the next chapter may look like.”
Kjellberg added it was “the right juncture” for her to move on.
“There is much to thank both Bertil and Victoria for and they have been a great team,” said Endemol Shine Group chairman, Northern Europe Markus Wolter.
“Bertil has served the Nordics group of companies through many years and phases, and been a huge support for the leadership teams across the companies during this time, as has Victoria, providing sage guidance for the teams in both legal and commercial capacities. When it comes to saying goodbye they will go with our very best wishes.”
Wolter, who is also Endemol Shine Germany CEO, became group chairman for Northern Europe more than a year ago.
Former Endemol Nordics CEO Michael Porseryd, who had exited after the Endemol and Shine merger, recently resurfaced as chief executive of Scandinavian producer SF Studios, replacing Jonas Fors.
For Endemol Shine’s European division, the exits come after Endemol France Nicholas Copperman was named at the top of a merged Endemol Shine France, with Shine France boss Thierry Lachkar leaving in the process.
Over in the US, Cris Abrego recently became the sole CEO of Endemol Shine North America, with Charlie Corwin exiting, potentially for a role at Imagine Entertainment.
