New Endemol Shine Israel boss as Kuperman exits
Amir Ganor will take over Endemol Shine’s Israeli production business after longstanding CEO Elad Kuperman said he was leaving after more than a decade.
Kuperman is the founder of Kuperman Productions, which ultimately became Endemol Shine Israel. He will exit the business at the end of the year.
“After 11 years building what has become Israel’s leading independent producer and the success of our great partnership with Endemol Shine, I’ve decided after much thought that the time has come to seek a whole new challenge,” Kuperman said.
“I couldn’t choose a stronger successor than Amir who has been an invaluable colleague and friend since the early days of the business.”
Ganor (left) has worked alongside Kuperman since 2005 and will now take the reins at the prodco.
The new CEO said: “I want to pay huge tribute to Elad and his incredible achievements in leading this company to the number one position that we hold today in the Israeli market.
“He will be leaving the business in exceptionally good shape and I’m very much looking forward to building on that legacy and taking Endemol Shine Israel into a new chapter with the truly brilliant team we have here.”
Endemol Shine Group’s CEO of international operations Martha Brass added: “We owe Elad heartfelt thanks for leading Endemol Shine Israel to such a strong position in the market and I have every hope there will be opportunities for us to collaborate in the future.
“Going forward, we couldn’t ask for a stronger leader than Amir who has played such a pivotal part in the company’s success.”
Kuperman originally partnered with Endemol on the local version of Big Brother. His other credits include The Successor with Uri Geller and comedy drama Traffic Light.
