French net orders Vivendi Entertainment format
Vivendi’s formats and entertainment division has shopped a couple format to C8, the free-to-air DTT channel also part of the Vivendi group.
Couple or Not is a gameshow format in which contestants have to correctly identify couples from a group of strangers – and the more they successfully pick out, the more cash they can win.
Vivendi Entertainment’s Flab Prod. will make the show, which will run to 40x40mins in its first run. C8, which was previously called D8, will launch the show next spring.
Arnaud Renard, Vivendi Entertainment’s executive VP Creative Affairs: “I strongly believe in Couple or Not’s global appeal. The promise is simple to understand, the game fun to play, the show entertaining to watch.”
The new show is being billed as a complement to Guess My Age, another gameshow out of the same stable and produced by Flab for the DTT channel. It is sold by Vivendi and is faring well internationally.
Vivendi Entertainment was created last year with the acquisition of Flab, Matthieu Porte’s Can’t Stop Media and La Parisienne d’Images.
Speaking about Couple or Not, Matthieu Porte, Vivendi Entertainment’s EVP international & development, said “Here is another fun and suspenseful non-quiz game show with universal appeal which greatly complements Guess My Age, the game show we released earlier this year which is probably 2016’ fastest-selling format”.
