Turner hires Kogan from Participant
Turner has recruited Karina Kogan as senior VP of digital media. She will run the digital team at Turner’s TBS and TNT, as well as the content marketing unit at the US cable nets.
Kogan joins from US prodco Participant Media and will report to Michael Engleman, executive vice president of entertainment marketing and brand innovation for TBS & TNT
“Karina has a diverse set of skills that balance product development, technology and operations with content creation and digital/social publishing, making her a perfect fit for this key position,” he said.
Turner is attempting to transform TBS and TNT and recently acquired advisory firm BRaVe Ventures to work on that task.
Former Fox programming chief Kevin Reilly runs the cable nets and has outlined a strategy to transform TBS and TNT with “new programming aimed at a younger, more dual-gendered audience”.
